We’ll conclude our 104th season with our annual Holiday Celebration Concert at The Paramount Theater in downtown Charlottesville. This free, family-oriented program will feature traditional holiday favorites, a sing-a-long, guest vocalists, and a visit from Santa. And maybe — just maybe — the first snowfall of the season!
Once again this year the Band will be collecting canned goods, non-perishable food items, personal care products, coffee and tea for the Emergency Food Network.
Please be sure to arrive early, as this concert always fills up. We look forward to celebrating with you!
Doug Schneider is a local actor/singer/vocal instructor. He has been a performer in Charlottesville for over 30 years and has appeared in many productions at Heritage Theatre Festival (now Virginia Theatre Festival), Four County Players, Richmond Triangle Players, HATTheatre in Richmond, New Lyric Theatre, The Hamner Theater and Live Arts. Leslie Claire Wood is a classically trained Virginia native, dubbed the “Songbird of Virginia” by her grandfather. Her most recent music theatre roles are Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady), Truly Scrumptious (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Irene Molloy (Hello, Dolly!) and Marie/Fairy Godmother (Cinderella). In the past year she has been touring Virginia and West Virginia singing Broadway favorites as part of the Cadence Productions’ cabaret shows. When she’s not on stage performing she is bringing her acting and singing skills to the sound booth by recording voice work in a variety of genres.
