Rent the Band Building
Meet. Rehearse. Celebrate.
The Charlottesville Band Building is available for rent to arts organizations. It can accommodate recitals, rehearsals, dance groups, meetings, events, and more. It’s also one of the most affordable venues in town. Formerly the Municipal Arts Center, it was designed by Band member Jack Laramore, built by Band member Joe Goldsmith, and houses the Band’s music library and equipment. The building features office space, a large rehearsal hall for both vocal and instrumental ensembles, a floor that accommodates dance groups of all types, a multi-purpose meeting room that provides limited space for food preparation, a conference and boardroom, and an enclosed loading dock area for deliveries and equipment transfer. Upper floors are handicapped accessible via elevator. The building also offers storage and rental office space to non-Band groups.
